Hi everyone, new to the site so bear with me. I picked up a 99% intact A.C. Gilbert Microscope set no. 1. I can't seem to find any info on anything but no. 2 and on?? Sorry for the crappy pics ( Ipod camera) Does anyone know if the no.1 set is rare? Thanks in advance..Rich.

A while back someone else asked about a similar set,, didn`t find much on it either If it were a popular collectable with a following,, it would be found somewhere on the internet !! Don`t know if rare would be correct,, lots of kids had these,, me too and many were broken and trashed,,lens on mine went foggy !! Its the information that is rare !! The thing about it being rare is, without someone interested in buying it,, it still might not be worth much !! But could be a buyer somewhere !! I will look in Schroeders tonight and see if its listed !!

Just checked ebay,, you can find them by searching for "toy microscope sets" !! Several were listed and one in good to ex. condition like yours !! Only one was getting bids was the one by makers of american flyer in the name and was mint in box !! It was up to $113.00 I think !! Most all the rest were starting below $39.95 and were not getting bids !! And I checked the ending prices !!

Nice bike! Mine is slightly apart cause I'm doin some more mods on it. Not bad looking for 24 years old though.
