Title: Aladdin Lamp
Post by: suesyl on November 19, 2012, 02:40:07 PM
We have this small lamp. I didn't think to measure it, but about 15-18 inches tall. I think the bottom leg area is brass. It is stamped ALADDIN on the bottom. does this little lamp have any value and what age. I think the finial and shade are original.  We use it!

The majority of the Aladdin alacite electric lamps seem to fall into the $30-40 price range. The glass finials, depending on design, can be worth as much as the lamp at times. Check your lamp and finial with a black light to see if they glow. If so, they would predate WWII.

That sounds like a fun experiment with the black light. I'll get a bulb and check it out. Thanks.
I don't know why the picture didn't show right. I'll try again.
