Its a K !!
-
does any one have any idea what its worth i think its from around the 1930s before WW2
-
That is the mark of GW Lewis & Co. From Birmingham and it appears that you have a hallmark cir. 1940's
-
yes i agree its by GW Lewis & Co. From Birmingham but i would say 1930s
-
Could be anywhere between 1930 and 1940 !! Slightly deco style !! Pretty, and if in excellent condition I would say around $20. to $25 !! Most buyers like a set !!

Yes mart and ironlord1963 it seems that we agree on the date As for the date letter, that's difficult, but from what remains, perhaps the 'K' of 1934, or the 'N' of 1937. But mart your value seems very low for a peice of vintage silver i think in the UK it will fetch 3 times your price fingers crossed :)

Maybe so but didn`t know where you were located !! I hope you are right but here they don`t bring much as a single piece !!

Base value of course will be based on the Sterling Weight, the rest would be Age, Rarity, Maker and condiion. Which none of these apply too much, Uniqueness of the back side will add a bit. Without a set your value will hover somewhere around Silver Prices.
Which brings to mind something I have discovered about most sterling pieces in these day. People only tend to pay Sterling value for items. Even when rare or unique, they want the Gram weight and rarely will it ever go over $1.00 a gram. Sad thing is I can post a Mid Century Silverplate spoon and get $10.00, but post a 8 Gram Sterling spoon and you get $6.00, when the prices of silver drop then it seems they start to consider Rare, Unnique and age in the value.
If you want to vase value look at how much sterling is on there, kind of hard to tell how thick, or if Handle is hollow. I would guess to have 40 grams of silver, and if so you will get $35.00 for it on ebay.

The value in this single item is that the back is the "GUILLOCHE ENAMEL" pattern which is fetching good prices in the UK at the moment
it come with the added bonus of being silver hallmarked

yes for sure I stand corrected here, was not familiar with Guilloche, and just a quick look on ebay yield value easily. Full Tiffany set went for $1000.00, after that Set was getting 300.00, and a couple of mirror alone was getting over $100.00, one with a Birmingham 1935 hallmark, and personnally I thought yours was better looking. I would have to go with a $200.00 now. Thanks for the knowledge.
