The hieroglyphs on the statue should tell you something but I can`t read them !!  How did your grandmother get them ??  Not a good thing in Egypt to take items from tombs I think !!

What age...probably made for the tourist industry...churned out in their thousands...but in the off chance they are genuine...may i suggest you go and hide them and yourself somewhere...Not good to boast about..having Egyptian artefact's...that have come from a tomb..

I have six of these! In ancient Egypt the deceased was buried with 365 of these, one for every day of the year. In the afterlife a person is expected to be required to move sand from east to west and from west to east every day. But if you have ushabti then they step up and do the work on your behalf every day so that you don't have to work in the afterlife! I guess that means that I will be carting sand for 359 days!  :D

The values completely depend on the condition, color size and the material. Yours looks like it is made of faience, which is a paste formed in a mold and then glazed and fired. The most common color is blue, but there are green and brown ushabtis too. They were mass produced in ancient times because everyone wanted to have 365 of them! They first started being used in about 1900 BC (Middle Kingdom) and were placed in tombs for the next 2000 years. That's a whole lot of ushabti!

The easiest way to get a sense of the value is to follow what they sell for on Ebay, and look for ones similar to yours.

I want to add that it is no longer legal to remove ancient artifacts from Egypt. Back in the late 19th and early 20th century huge numbers of ancient tombs were robbed and their contents sold as tourist items. That's what is on Ebay today, things that were taken out of the country when it was legal to do so. It is legal to own them and legal to sell them.
