we need dimensions,what material its made of ,pics of inside,base...marks...etc...

 Hardware and bottom too !!!  Looks like those being sold on ebay by the dozens!!  All different shapes but similar decorations !!  Where did you get this box ??

judging by the laptop bag its sitting on its about 12in long..made of wood..with brassed white metal decoration...i,ve got one thats similar..and it came with a bottle of plonk in it...

Dimensions are 7 by 2 and a half buy 2and 3quarter. Sorry i am still learning this site,I'm a rookie. Found it in my garage ,don't know where it came from.

From what I can see , which isn`t much,, pics too big and blur when enlarged, can`t see the latch ot how decoration is applied, I would guess its a simple trinket box from 60`s or after !!  Decoration is likely pressed tin !!
