Forgot about these 2 other mirrors we have. The smaller self standing one my wife got about 15 years ago at a yard sale so dont know around how old it is. The larger one hanging on the wall was given to my wife by her father, and it was her grandparents. So 50 years old or more I'm guessing?

Mirrored Glass perhaps!! :D
-
No the larger one is not beveled, neither is the small one. They are both made of wood.
-
Is the larger one white with gold touches ?? Thats how it looks !! Seeing the backs would help !!

this will be the first time ever that i,ve seen a wooden mirror...i,ve only ever seen mirrors made of glass or polished metal...i did,nt think was that reflective... ;)

LOL !! Now Wullie !!
its amazing how different things look after a few drams...normallly i would,nt look at these twice...but...they sort of grow on you....then again...when i,m sober...i,lll probaly think otherwise.....

The bottom style was popular in the 60`s !! Thats when the white with gold trim was going around !! Saw a lot of French Provincial furniture with mirrors like that !! Living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms !! Same color and basic style !!
-
I will get some pics of the backside up tomorrow. The bottom one was my wifes Grandma, so definitely not from 70's LOL.
-
When was your wifes Grandmother born ??
-
Wife said she her Grandma was born around 1912.
-
I would almost bet the carved relief decoration, at least on the larger one, is plaster applied onto a wood frame
-
Will wait to see the back !! Seriously doubt its being older than mid century !! Need to see the back of the smaller one too !!
-
If Grandma was born in 1912..Mart...then assume that she bought the mirror when an adult....then mid century..is probably right....
-
Here are some pics of the back of them....

From what I can see,,my opinion of the large one is the same !! Mid century and more than likely from the style,,60`s !! Dont see the age I would expect of an older piece on the back !! Not plaster, its just wood !! Smaller mirror probably slightly older late 30`s or 40`s !!
