Bought this from local thrift store for 1dollar, I think it is ceramic but not positive. It is signed on bottom as you will see in pics.
-
does,nt look like ceramic, looks more like a type of ironstone....
-
Possibly , to be honest not sure what ironstone is. Is that good?
-
well for a start its natural..and not man made...but just in case its something else..like maybe resin..do a hot pin test to determine if its solid..
-
It's solid, would be kiln fired, correct. Did the hot pin test.so what do you think?
-
What does the bottom say,, can`t read it all !!
-
Nikola as far as I can tell. Kind of hard to make out
-
Is it pretty heavy for its size ?? When I enlarged it,,it appeared to be a simple clay pottery piece and looks hand made !! One place has a chip that looks like it was coated with something !! Almost metal like !!
-
It is fairly heavy. Do you think bigwull is correct in being ironstone? Did I do ok for 1 dollar investment?
