Hello all! I'm hoping that someone here can help. I have a sugar bowl that is stamped (machine I believe) on the bottom in green ink "Made in Czechoslovakia". It also has handpainted numbers and letters on the bottom and inside the lid that appear to be "Fac: 1130" and beneatch that it says "Dec: 8641". Under the lid it only says "Fac: 1130". It also has numbers impressed on the bottom that say "1130" with a "3" centered below it. Could someone please tell me what to make of this or guide me to where I can find out? Many many thanks!!

Hi................. these are specific factory and decorating marks. Extensive research will lead you to a more precise answer to the marks. There are over 70 different Czech marks on pottery and porcelain including mold, stamped, paper etc.
First a country in 1918. Then came under Communist control from 1948. After 1993 it was divided into the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Hi, you might start at the beginning of my Bohemian porcelain reference site (http://www.ginni.com/collection/bohemian_czechoslovakian_china.html).
If you don't find your mark on my site, if you send good photos of the mark I may be able to identify it. You can find contact information on my Web site.
