I just looked at the larger version of your foal, I see it is in fact dappled gray, just lighter than the other one that is for sale. Congrats on a good score!

Looking at Ebay UK, it looks like these are probably not getting the asking price on the web site above. There are quite a few Bestwicks listed, including your foal that does have several bidders, but is very low, so you might want to watch this auction, although this one has a repair so that value is going to be severely affected:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beswick-Small-Dapple-Grey-Foal-/221165932791?pt=UK_PotteryPorcelain_Glass_PotteryPorcelain_China_SM&hash=item337e8450f7 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beswick-Small-Dapple-Grey-Foal-/221165932791?pt=UK_PotteryPorcelain_Glass_PotteryPorcelain_China_SM&hash=item337e8450f7)

Bigwull I beg to differ. Open the full size image and you can see the dapples.

Here's another in better condition, slightly different head position: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beswick-Dapple-Grey-Gloss-Horse-Foal-Small-Stretched-Facing-Left-Model-997-/360543383312?pt=UK_PotteryPorcelain_Glass_PotteryPorcelain_China_SM&hash=item53f20f6f10 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beswick-Dapple-Grey-Gloss-Horse-Foal-Small-Stretched-Facing-Left-Model-997-/360543383312?pt=UK_PotteryPorcelain_Glass_PotteryPorcelain_China_SM&hash=item53f20f6f10)

As much as I,d like for you to have scored well with this Beswick,...i,m not convinced...that what you have got..is the same as what Tales...has found...on your foal the tail sits at a different angle..the colour of the main is different...the horses face..is different...and...y ours has an almost.."my little pony look" about it....and the over all colour is all wrong

I would be inclined to believe that this 2nd one that you,ve found on ebay..is almost identical to the one here....its legs are in the same position..and the colour is good...i,ve compared the £225 one alongside the other 2...and they are like..."chalk & cheese"...to each other...

Is there a model number near the Bestwick mark? That would help if we can identify for sure which model of foal yours is. There are a whole bunch of them that only seem to differ slightly! Kinda like brie compared to cheddar... LOL

there is no comparison....There is something Not Right about a cheese that some halfwit...has decided that it can be tinned...
• Brie is available canned, but it is impossible to judge age,
and I f you,re looking for a really nice Cheddar...then..get yourself...a Mull Truckle....served at room temp...yummy....or a deep fried Camembert.... ;D....

there are no reference numbers it just says Beswick england, but it dose have spots on it. so what do you think this could be worth? what about the dogs value?

You,d be amazed at how quickly you can get rid of a cold..when you,ve consumed almost a half bottle of whisky and honey, hot toddies...and 12 hours sleep,..i,m still not a 100%...but i,m getting there...

as to the 2 ornaments...i,ve always been of the opinion..that its better to have a  realistic price.....then...if it sell for much higher..then..you feel great...as opposed to thinking..WOW,..its worth $300...then find out its only worth $30

Collie dog $10. to $15. if its a large one !!  Havent looked at the Bestwick`s for sale !!  I would just watch a few on ebay and see what the ending price is !!  Things like this can do great one week and bomb out the next week !!  You can`t outguess the buying public !!

With only a Japan marking it might be very hard to identify the dog. I would not expect that one to have much value.

Here are the completed Ebay UK listings, this should give you a pretty good idea of what it would sell for, looks like a lot of bidding for some of these ending at around £20-30: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=beswick+foal+dapple&_sacat=0&_odkw=beswick+foal&_ipg=50&_sadis=200&_adv=1%7C1&_sop=12&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_osacat=0&_okw=%7C&_dmd=1&LH_Complete=1&_oexkw=%7C (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=beswick+foal+dapple&_sacat=0&_odkw=beswick+foal&_ipg=50&_sadis=200&_adv=1%7C1&_sop=12&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_osacat=0&_okw=%7C&_dmd=1&LH_Complete=1&_oexkw=%7C)

If you look at this lot...on ebay..you,ll see lots of them...some that are similar to yours..others that are a different colour...but they all share the common denominator...they all have a number...The prices as you can see range from.$10..up to $30...therefore I am of the opinion that yours fall into this bracket...as the first one that was found by Tales...@£225...is totally different from yours...and i would n,t like you to get your hopes up...thinking..you,ve got a $350 Beswick...when its most likely..only a 10th of that...
as for the Japanese mutt...i,d say around $25...

What part of between $10 and $30 are you not grasping....think along these lines...but if it sells for more...then think yourself lucky...but if it sells for less or not at all....don,t blame me.... ;D...blame Tales ..for saying it was worth £225....

Considering what they have told you,, your $6. investment may make you between $50. and $60 !!  Could be a little more or less !!  Thats an excellent profit any way you look at it !!

A positive note: MSGhopper1924's collection of Beatrix Potter figurines were made by Beswick (no "t"), England, and many of those have appreciated quite well over the decades. If you love the horse, hang on to it!

I believe the others have given you LOTS of information and ebay listings to watch....and see how they sell in today's market.  You need to gauge what your selling price is by like foals...without numbers.  Take a week or so and observe...then list according to the average pricing.  Start for sale lower..if you list too high...they will stay away.

Hello,
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone home?.
.......again i will reiterate....what part of between $10 & $30 are you not comprehending...or perhaps i,m not explaining myself properly.....this little foal ornament....along with the Japanese made mutt, cost you $6..well,why don,t you stick the little foal on with a starting price of....say...$6....who,knows it might just take off...and if you,re very lucky and you,ve got 2 bidders...scrapping away with each other...you might get a good deal more than my estimated $30.....But!.....don,t hold your breath..... ;) ;).
