Title: Old Wooden Mirror

Was trying to find some information on this piece. I could not find any markings on it. Does anyone have any Idea.

very nice mirror..Chinese..by the looks of it...beasts at each side are gryphons...and a dragon at the top....age...well.. with me it,ll be..eeny meeny mighty mo..mid to ..late Victorian...1880 /1902..let me revise that..as i,ve just noticed that the mirror has a bevel edge..which will mostly be acid etched...maybe a little earlier..

Your location ??  How did you acquire the mirror ?? Can you take a pic of the back of it ??

The Bay Area, California. My Greatgrandmother bought it from the kaiser estate in the late 20's or early 30's.

Agree on the date with Bigwull. Looks to be in the Horner school of "griffenry" with some oriental influence thrown in. 1890-1910.

These chairs were most often hall chairs...but were also seen at formal tables.ghopper...I wouldn't doubt if it is a RJ Horner!
