Title: Gold ring hallmark help
Post by: Buddie11 on December 31, 2012, 02:55:35 PM
I bought a used jewellery box for my 7 year old daughter and found this inside. Unfortunately there is no stone,it would have been nice size. Obvious 10 k, looks like a crown and Maltese crosses? Took it to scrap shop and he said 23$ can,it seemed he was very interested, maybe a little more than the 30 bucks he would have got for it. Hope pics are ok (probably sideways)

Its a letter W !! However it doesn`t make a difference in value !! 10K is not much gold and scrap is about all it would sell for !! Couldn`t find anything associated with that letter !!

Not a bad find @ all , what with the gold content ....

Perhaps you might mount a cab (that you & your young daughter choose together) (provided that all the prongs are intact) on your little item & save it for when the girlie grows up some , as a parent-child keepsake ?

Depending on the weight..if for instance..it weighed 5g..then its value is approx £60 GBP..= $97.57

I've searched all my books/resources and don't have one like this!  Sorry.

The value in it, as the others stated, is the content!

Hate to be a pain, but this ring is driving me nuts. I'm aware it may not have much value, but that is not what I am looking for. Today I contacted professional appraiser (Canadian jewellers association), she looked through all her books and cannot find the marks I would just like to find info.
