Title: Unknown Amulet?

Found this in my garage while cleaning and I'm wondering what exactly it is? I and everyone I know have never seen anything like this- style-wise. It's bronze by the way. Anyone has any ideas? Any input will be appreciated!(http://)

It is the same on both sides- also there are no numbers or letters of any kind on it. Yes I am in the US.

Reminds me of one you sling as a weapon....and it is on a rope not a chain!  (Which doesn't mean much on this forum...because things are used for everything other than what they were created for!)    :)

It's about 2"x2" and a good solid pound heavy!
That's an interesting thought though about the weapon!
