Title: smoking stand
Post by: suesyl on January 18, 2013, 10:45:41 AM
We have this smoking humidor stand, about 32 inches tall. The inside is lined with copper, there is a small burn mark on the top, of course. Any idea on age and value? We have also found some old pipes and cigar boxes and tobacco tins.  Thanks.

Looks like 1930s or 40s, from the "golden age of smoking."

Worth around $50-$150 depending on where you are.

I would be a lttle lower on the value. They are really common around here, Plus a burn is a furniture restorers bad dream. Only Mart knows how to deal with them.

Not as in burn the whole thing up Wullie.  Control yourself!

I wish it were a radio, but it is a TV antenna turner. It is wired through the floor there. Old ways
