Title: Wierd metal bowl with picture on bottom?

Ok last thing I have for you guys today... Could not find anything about this or even if it is old at all. (same box as so called old cheese grater) First of is it even old?

There are no words, symbols or signs on it at all. Don't want to get rid of it cause it is kind of cool but I don't want to horde junk either haha.

How deep is it ??  And how big ??  Can you take a close up of the pic ??  Looks like a cake plate cover  !!

I think Mart is right with the cover. Like a porcelain pot lid, only here inset within a metal cover.

That would be a baby cake because its about 6" in diameter.

Yeah looking at it now it does look like a cover.... I'm gonna hit up the cheese board cover collectors club to try and get rid of it.

Look's like the lid off a jewelry / powder box. Like one of those with a music box in the base.

is there a buyer or trade market for that because I am only allowed to collect three types of thing right now. (wife rules) If not I do not want to just toss it cause it is pretty cool and I hate throwing away things.

So you are just like the rest of us mere males....We are the masters when..SWMBO...is,nt in.....as for getting rid of "it"..i assume you are talking about..the powder puff come cheese board cover....well,if its not eaten too much of yer corn...stick it on ebay...cross yer fingers...and who knows....if a guy can get a load of halfwits to bid on a soggy Brussels Sprout....then...yo u might hit the jackpot..... ;D

Maybe it is a chimney flue hole cover.

Could be either one !!  I would just list it on ebay along with all the possibilities of what it might be and see where it goes !!

But this one has a rolled and finished edge like it would fit in a groove or just sit on top !!

That's what I was thinking as well Rauville.  Haven't seen them like that for a long time!
