Title: Estimating the age of marble jars
Post by: elvis123 on January 19, 2013, 09:37:41 PM
I always find it difficult to estimate the age of marble. I found these neat marble jars that looked Art Deco but for all I know could be from the 90's. Any thoughts? They are in good condition but have some wear. The colors are bright. No markings. The bottoms is covered in worn felt.

Thank you for your time.

Depending on their sizes it appears you have a cannister set from the late 60`s or 70`s modern art era !! You could buy additional matching pieces !!  If you can attribute this to a known designer,, could bring good money !!

Yeah Mart, on One Kings Lane they love having listed under vintage....but the description says modern.

Must be pretty stale if they are that old Wullie (from just after the Cold War)!  :O

I agree grasshopper that it is late 90's.

Elegant marble made in a more modern way!
