Title: Recently acquired in Denmark
Post by: TyTnCoRe on February 06, 2013, 11:08:46 AM
Came across the other day and bought it - there are a few scratches and it has definitely seen better days - I live in Denmark and whilst admiring it an elderly woman passed by and mentioned that her grandmother used to own one and this woman was 84... That's unfortunately all I can tell you about it...it stands about 6' 8" ...

 ???

Probablymade in France ca. 1890 or so.

Did you have a question about it?

In addition to what I've already said,  I'd say it's a buffet executed in the Renaissance Revival style with Eastlake elements,  could be 1880s as well. The value could be anywhere from $2K to $4K American depending on the day and the buyer.

Yep !! Ghopper is correct from what I can see !!  I would lean more toward the later date !!  Its nice !!  Value just depends on what is popular in your area/country !!
