Title: What do you think this came off of? Smallish carved wood bird

It's about 5 inches across.  There is what feels like a nail through the width, at the eyes.

If there is nothing on the other side,, looks like it is part of a pair that maybe came off a piece of furniture  or something wooden !!  Kind of reminds me of the luck symbols for over the doorway, German possibly !!

Reminds me of items made in NE US....dagnabit....o h....Pennsylvania Dutch.

Had to smile KC !!  Haven`t heard anyone use "dagnabit" since my Dad died !! It was one of his favorite expressions !!
