I have always wanted the desk that Deckard has in his room from the movie blade runner.
I guess it is a custom desk from the coonley house by Frank Lloyd Wright, 1908.

How might I find a replica of this desk and what do you think it would cost?
Are there companies you know of that specialize in replicas of furniture like this?
Maybe I will have to build it myself one day.
Thanks

A couple thousand, +/-, depending on species of wood and cabinetmaker who builds it. You might try SAPFM, Society of American Period Furniture Makers. They have some of the best cabinetmakers in the nation there.

Most any experienced woodworker with the right tools could give you the same look !! Would not be quite the same quality but much less expensive !! Just depends on how far you want to dig into your wallet !!

Thanks for the tips, I'll get an estimate from a local cabinet maker and see what he says. I would want it in oak to match my trim, but those boards look pretty 'chunky', I wonder if they are solid or hollow.
Hi sugarcube, which is your favorite city to look for antiques in? Mine would probably be saint paul or farmington.

Just use a good straight grained oak veneer on those pieces that are not available in oak !! Some sizes of wood are available in oak but can get pricey !!
