I've had this a really long time. To me it looks like kind of a clothes applique, but then it looks like moonstones. When you flip it over there's a pin. I was never really sure. I bout a lot and this was in it. What time period? Victorian?

Looks like a 40`s do-it-yourself craft kit !! Wasn`t made that way to sell !! Just the little beads that look like moonstone !!
-
Thanks I've had it laying around because I didn't think it was worth selling.

Very stylish for those that are into the bohemian style!!!

I don`t know about that,,, remember they buy old paint by number pieces for "art" !! Sure wish I had kept all mine !!
-
Could you sell it as a "Folk Art" piece?
-
No,, wouldn`t fit that catagory !! Let me look a bit !!

Now that I am at a computer that can enlarge the picture....
This appears to be what I have seen over the years as a "vintage beaded patch". They were very popular from the 50's to 60's. They can be quite elaborate! Typically had linen or burlap on the back. And yours has the large weave on it such as the same materials.
Here is one for sale on Etsy

I understand what Mart is saying. Beading on clothing hit a heyday during the time of flapper dresses, etc. But usually all the work on dresses was done directly on them. However, Millinery (hats) had patches more often than clothing.

Imitation moonstone beading was extremely popular in the 40's!
