does anyone know much about old (pre 70's) telescopes? i want to find a nice one in preferably a wood box not cardboard and possibly one with a wood tripod. but all i see are fakes and reproductions. can someone point me in the right direction please.

Do you want it as a usable piece or as an ornament...or a bit of both...because..aft er all .they are all the same when it comes to sticking yer eye on the end....

Just email the seller and ask if he would add an OBO !! Then make him an offer if he does !! You might be surprised at what sellers will do for a cash sale !! When many of them put a BIN its always more than what they actually want for it !!

what you,ll probably find with this is whenever the first bid comes in..the buy it now will disappear..unless they have a reserve on it...which by looking at the listing..they don,t..as it normally says ..reserve not met...

They don`t add "reserve not met" until at least one bid is placed !! Or at least,, I have never seen it !! Many people will not place a first bid if they know there is a reserve !!
