Title: Oriental Mask

Hello all, I'm new here to your site and if i could get some help on a couple of thing that would be great.
the first thing is a mask that I have had for about 20 years. cant find anything about it. looking for info and value.

Very nice..what are its dimensions...looks like its come from  Indonesia..or perhaps a country with Chinese influences...but not China...

I agree with Indonesia...maybe Bali?

Its 8.5 in wide 12.5 in tall  5 in deep

I'm not sure of the origin, but I have an idea on who the mask might be. It has a resemblance to the Buddhist deity Guan Yu. It's just a guess so don't take my word on it, it doesn't look of Chinese origin though.

I think it's him. He and Guanyin are very popular amongst mask and okimono crafters.

Looks like cherrywood or something similar. And it doesn't have to be Chinese. Guanyin is sometimes referred to as Avalokiteshvara by other regions. Bit like Santa and St Nicholas. I say a bit  ;D

Looks like an export piece. Pity it's not a Noh mask. Value is minimal in my opinion but someone might pay £50 for it.

Looks like 1980s mahogany. Minimal value.
