Title: Antique Scales
Post by: Stuff-For-Sale on March 11, 2013, 06:21:24 PM: Hello, I am new to collecting and selling antiques. I picked up these 3 scales (25lb, 30lb, and 50lb). I am wondering what they are worth. I bought them with a bundle of things but I probably have $12-$15 into them (for the three of them).

I am also wondering how old they are. The 50lb weight says 1891-1892 at the top. Is that the year?

Any information is appreciated on these scales!

Post by: frogpatch on March 11, 2013, 06:35:52 PM: I have had a couple of these. I think they are for weighing fish, but I am really not positive. I have a modern version in my tackle bag. The date would be correct.

Well if thats the case..then you should know what that "clubs" name is....there i,ve given the game away.... ;D
