Would like some input on this ring. I do believe it is silver, but not a 100 percent. I am no jewellery expert by far,but to me this looks old. The thing that puzzles me is the solder or weld? There are no marks, but could be worn off.

Was it tarnished? If not it may be a white gold wedding ring. Lucky you if it is.

Its probably been sized down !! I have seen older resized rings with that kind of solder line !! The line usually shows when the plating wears off !!
-
The solder looks like yellow gold, mart you said you saw older rings like this,do you have a ballpark age?

Could be any age but the inside plating will wear off from rubbing on the finger !! General use will remove the rest unless it was a quality ring !! Don`t think this one was !! Likely a thin coat of gold !! Some will stick to that solder !!

Kinda looks like a piece of 'stock' finding , such as 'crafters' might use for a small project (if silver , this piece would have been bent around a mandrel , usually with a rawhide hammer).
I'd give a guess that the soldered joint is made from a thin brazing rod , perhaps with a small amount of silver in it .
Still guessing , but would be nice to know what metal was used for the band .
I'd also guess that it's not antique (100+yrs old) .....but given 60 or so years ....
:)
