Title: Mosaic Style Pottery Egg Signed?
Post by: agreeneyes on April 08, 2013, 10:29:06 AM
This was purchased from an estate, I believe this dates possibly 1970s and it does have crazing?  It's signed by the artist but I'm not sure of the name Meji V or Miji V.  Is anyone familar with this artist's work?  The intricate design doesn't appear to be something that would be made in a pottery class.  It weighs a little under a pound and appears to be made of clay?  It's approximately 5 1/2 in long and 3 3/4 in tall.  Would this be considered a mosaic style of design and does this have any value for a collector, thank you

My guess is this has some value but without research i couldn't tell you who made it. Mifi / Miji ?

Eggs are like owls, elephants, frogs, dogs, cats - there's always a buyer for them.
