-
looks like its been done on hardboard...and whoever painted it..was a bit skimpy with the paint...as the board is showing through...which might mean its acrylic...hope you did,nt pay too much for it....

Im not real sure. It feels smooth in some spots and other spots it feels like you can feel the paint or oil .what ever it is. I bought it off a young girl who said it belonged to her ex bfs grandma, said it was in her attic. But you know how people lie. My bf bought a so called old clock, the lady said it was her great grandpas, when he got it home it had a bar code on the bottom ;D. Any way probably a fake pic. Thanks for your input anyway.

we,re not finished yet...i still don,t know if its canvas,or what...when i do a closeup..i,m seeing lots of dot like marks..this is synonomous with hardboard, as the rough side is covered in raised dots...knowing what its painted on is the first step, then what the paint is.....

Take a pic of the back !! Does it have a dust cover ?? If so need to see behind it !! May be canvas board !! That's a canvas like covered cardboard used by many artists for quick sketches when painting outside and for preliminary paintings before doing one on canvas !! Hobby artists use them a lot also !!

That board you,re talking about Mart..is called Daler Board...

This makes 3 times i posted more photos, dont know why they are not getting posted. Let me try again. They do have little dots on it. What does that mean? And it is pretty heavy. I took the brown paper off the back, it wouldnt let me put a pic on i did my limit, but its card board back there.
-
I finally took it this time. My bf said its not canvas tho, feels like picture paper. I only paid 4 bucks for it. Heres a pic of the back, i had to tear the brown paper off.

You may have to delete some of the repetitive pics !! This site has a limit !!

Looking at the closeups..this looks like an art print...then paint has been added to give the illusion that it is a full blown artist painted pic...
