Does anyone know what wood was used to make this captain's chair?

I,d say Beech....as it is very durable....and burns well,....

If its in the U.S. most likely hard rock maple !! Didn`t enlarge though !!

Looks like Oak,...very strong...and burns better than Beech...gives off more eat and lasts longer... ;D...can,t say i like the plastic castors....

Looks like maple to me !!  Occassionally you will find a chair like this of oak but it doesn`t look like this one is !!  Hard to be positive though from a pic !!

My garden was getting so dry that we both are loving it !!  And the wind isn`t blowing us into the next county !!

Looks like mixed woods to me. Those straight rungs in the front appear out of place.
(BTW: It's still snowing here! :P)

87 yesterday,, 51 now,, 38 in the morning I hear from the weatherman !!  Praying for no frost,, I don`t want to replant for the third time !!

Send some of those temps over here,...you,ve got it made over there,87F in April,....cheap gasoline, cheap liquid gas, cheap steaks....Yet on the TV all I hear is how hard it is over there...you don,t know how hard it is....

I surmise that my uncle built the platform for and reinforced the chair to fit on it, so he'd have a swivel and rolling chair to use at his ham radio station set-up.

It is a mixed chair !! Base was added to a 60`s era Colonial dining chair !! We had the same set but darker finish !! You could get dark or light stain !!
