Title: Any help appreciated, not sure what this is....
Post by: rakellh on May 04, 2013, 02:08:42 PM
Any help is greatly appreciated.  I know very little about this piece of furniture.  My Mom and Grandmother died within 1 year of each other.  I know that it is from before 1970's, not 100% sure if its a real antique.  It could be a curio, but doubt its a sideboard since it has no drawers.  The shelves are removable.  I can not find any markings or anything written in the wood anywhere.  I wish I had more info.  Have brought pics around and someone said 1920-1930. Thanks again!

Looks like a walnut display unit ca. 1930-40, works both as a book shelf and etagere. Handsome piece, worth maybe $100-$200.

Like Ghopper said !! Nice little shelving unit !!  That french provincial leg/foot was extensively used in the 60`s !! Could be earlier but without seeing additional pics of back, bottom etc. hard to tell which !!
