Title: Old Knife/Cooking Utensils? Need help!
Post by: superflykid1 on May 09, 2013, 01:18:37 PM
I picked these up today, they looked pretty sweet. Searching online for the name "Optimo" turned up nothing. They have what seems to be wooden handles and nice decoration pieces.

Thanks in advance!

The symbol looks like a C with an A in it...I'll get a better picture of it. There is nothing that I can see on the bottom piece.

Antler and bone handles with the silver collars were very popular in the 40's to 50's.

What cracks me up about the American language is its bastardization..of what, it was, when the first English settlers landed in America,..and how it went from "thee said to thy"...to what you have now,..but then i suppose the same could be said of the Scots language...Och aye the noo!!.... ;D...and just in case you two Texan Maids, forget....its a "Ferrule"..... ;D

And, if you can't remember that...you can just call it a "Bolster". ;)
