All that does is take me to Facebook,and its Facebay Brechin...where i live...weird....but where did this link come from..i still can,t see an X in a box....

Just click the "quote" tab on his/her post ..... and you can see the imbedded "facebook" link ....... which is what I copied n' posted above.
He/she posted it as an "img" or image link but apparently it is not ..... or ...... Facebook won't upload it unless you first "sign in" with a "password".
ps: it is your "browser" that does or doesn't put the X in the box.

well if he/she had posted the pic here in the first place...we would,nt need to scurry around trying to see what they are talking about,...cos i don,t believe for one minute, they don,t know how....but just in case they don,t they can always ask,...furthermore...prior to them registering...they will probably have been watching as a guest for god knows how long, and should have picked up the way things are done......its small wonder that i,m losing what hair i have left....Rant over!!

On my computer upper left where normaly you would start a sentence is a square with a black X in it !! I clicked on it but nothing happened so don`t know is its just my computer that displays it or this site !! Think its the computer though !! It has shown this before and other members have said they see the same thing !! Its been a while though !!

Right, its your computer or more exact, your internet "browser".
It recognizes the imbedded html code as a "url link" .... but that one was "tagged" by the poster as being an image link "[img]" when in fact it wasn't a link to an image OR Facebook wouldn't permit access to it without a password ..... so your browser got a "reject" error and posted the box with the X in it to tell you it was an "error".
If you click the link I posted ..... and then "sign-on" to Facebook you should be able to see the picture ................ unless you have to be a "friend" in order to see it. ;D ;D
