Title: Can anyone help me identify/value this Imperial '1903' bar cart?
Post by: lbvergin on May 17, 2013, 10:59:46 AM
I have a 'old' 'bar cart' that was left in my house. It has a stamp-see pics. I do need to refinish it because my mother-in-law decided to slop some thick stain on it. I'd like to know if it has any value besides being an interesting piece. It has a detachable serving tray that fits into the top.

Bar items are always popular although not extremely valuable !!  If this were in good original condition $200. to $250. give or take a few dollars !! As is maybe half that if your lucky !!  Needs refinishing but that will not add value !!  Had it been in good original condition with all barware appropriate for the time,,around $350. !!

Mart called it. Perhaps even a bit generous.

Refinishing it will be a lot of work. If it were mine I would paint it and re-purpose it. It would be good for potting plants or something else. Or you could drink from it as intended. You may even be able to put a smaller flat screen TV on it with the DVR and DVD beneath on the shelves if they are wide enough.
