I'm thinking late 18th ?

Why the wax stamp / seal ? Chinese items had to have the wax stamp on them for export at one time but from what i can see, the " letters " on the seal are English ?

It is, it's a Chinese " jian ding " seal for export purposes.

Interesting !

Oh no !!  Call it a " possible container for fortune cookies" or something !! ;)  You don`t have to know exactly what it is,, just give people an idea and see what happens !!

Don't throw it !!! If you do sell it, don't forget to mention the jian ding

Be interesting to see the response on Ebay because i think it's worth £10-20 but it has potential to do a bit more and you never really know with Fleabay. " Mid to Late Qing Dynasty " should cover it

These two made $425 between them

And let us know what happens !! Sometimes you just have to plant a seed in bidders minds !! I have sold things I had no clue about simply by telling what I thought they might be !!  Just never lie to them !!  Honesty sells !!
