I can't quite read what it says. Can you spell it out for this 63 year old bat? I would be happy to share your 63rd and tell you what its like, over a glass of that or two.

This is an Islay Malt...its name is Lagavulin..its a 16 year old Malt...from the Island of Islay..off the west coast of Scotland...i have only tasted it once and that was 12 years ago, and if i close my eyes and think of that day, i can still taste  that whisky...the only way i can truly describe it,that will have any meaning is....if it was a choice between good sex or a bottle of this...then i,d have the bottle.. ;D

if you mean..finishing the house...well, you,ll have to ask the Boss, as she,s the one who cracks the whip,...to date, i,ve 90% finished the sitting room,..the kitchen another 90%....after Avril had her Heart attack..I had to put in a downstairs cloakroom..thats finished...see pic,..the room i,m sitting in is like a building site, with just the newly worked on fireplace just done,..again see pic,...yeah i think another 2/3 years might just do it...

Nektar of the Gods!  (there's a musical in-joke in there)

Superb finishing work on the sitting room.

OMG!! Our favourite scotch.... peaty, earthy, smells like it was strained through a scotsman's wool sock!  Unopened? blasphemous!  Send it right over to this side of the pond, we will treat it the way it should be treated, savoured in little tiny hand made georgian glasses. :P  GG

Yes KC...that is Westmorland slate,..its quarried in Cumbria in NW England..its a beautiful green colour,i got them, free for the uplift,..approx 200 unused, and intend to use the rest..to cover the floor of our back porch,...the wood, i got from my local sawmill,..the mantle is 6in x 3 in...and the upstands are 5 x 3.in..they cost £6..or $9...the cast iron Dog grate was new, i got it on ebay, for a whopping £45..or $70...so all in all its a cheap fireplace...
