Title: Tankard
Post by: keith96 on May 30, 2013, 01:14:45 PM
Hello everyone.  I am a musician, violinist, so have an interest in old instruments of all descriptions.  However while cleaning out my late uncles house I came across 2 old tankards which I thought were very unusual.  I wondered if anyone knows anything about them.
Here are some pics.
Thanks

The lid features the reverse of coins from the reign of Louis XV and there's a few of these on the internet, one recently sold on Ebay

£30-40 would be my guess. Think one sold for $70 online
