Title: Brown and White Stoneware
Post by: kinyark on May 30, 2013, 03:32:21 PM: My parents had this old piece in a storage locker for awhile and recently gave it to me. I couldn't find out what it is exactly or who makes it or how much it might be worth. I think the 6 on the front is the number of gallons. Not sure though. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Post by: IlliniGuy on May 30, 2013, 04:11:50 PM: I can tell the crown mark indicates it was made by Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery(RRP CO) of Roseville, Ohio. That is not to be confused with Roseville Pottery. The 6 does mean it is 6 gallons. Stoneware from the company is not particularly collectible.

Post by: xmelax38 on June 02, 2013, 04:01:20 PM: Definitely looked familiar to me, because my husband has a lot of these pieces (jugs and crocks). I got sick of seeing them after awhile, ha ha. He has them in his collection room and some in the living room.
