So I picked this up at a garage sale and am just curious what it's actually worth or if anyone has any info on it. I paid 20$ The former owner believes it's from the 80's. Couch is in mint condition.

Post your pics on this site please!! Can`t see them !!
-
What are the legs like ? I can see wooden arms
-
looks Nordic by design....armrests most like likely teak...legs i can see as being round tapered ones...looks very late 50,s /60,s and over here in UK...can fetch good money...only downside is,this type of material, probably won,t carry a ..fire safety ticket...
-
Looks like a waiting area seat. I like it. It would sell very well in the NY market because of its modern lines. It would also do well in LA or Miami.
-
I agree with both !!

Okay so I found a tag on the back of it that says " Simpsons contract division ". Did some research and I'm pretty sure the company is not just called " Simpson ". Does this name sound familiar to anyone?
-
could it be Simmons?
-
your location might help...there is a Co,called Simpsons...in cedar Falls, that sells similar types...some pics of the lower part might help...or a pic of the settee/bench,from the front, and underside...
-
Need pics of that tag and the entire sofa !!
-
Hope these help. Also I'm located in Ontario, Canada.
-
Any marks on the underside / base ?
SCD was a floor coverin firm in Canada in the mid 20th century and this was made for them.
If i was selling that i'd try sticking a 0 on the end of what you paid, provided it is very clean.
-
looks very similar to early G Plan...
-
This "contemporary" style was very popular in the late 60's and 70's. Remember my folks having one similar!
Still sells well here in the South as well.
We have seen this furniture company pop up here before. Not alot of information about it out there.

If its very clean and excellent condition it might make more than $200. !! If marketed well and in right area !!
-
Could well do. Interior designers would be after it.
