Title: Unopen Castrol Motor Oil
Post by: Kevin_Bones on June 06, 2013, 04:31:52 PM
Hello
I bought a Castrol Motor Oil can, still full of oil and unopen. I am wondering how old this can would be , and what it would be worth in this condition.

Thanks
Kevin

That style logo was introduced in 1958 and used for about 10 years. I'd guess the market value at around $25 in my area.

That's it?? I thought it would be worth a little more because it hasn't been open yet. Oh well, at least I didn't over pay :D

I have an unopened can of Chrysler oil. It says "Mopar Motor Oil" on it. No weight mentioned of anything. It's worth $20 on a good day to Mopar fanatic. I have a slightly newer opened can of Castrol as well. It's worth about $10 to someone that doesn't know much about value.
