"Were does he get such wonderful toys?"
So my mother dug out her mothers polish/bohemian glass set and asks me what I know about it. Truthfully, the geography of it's origin is a best guess based on ethnicity, as my grandmother is first gen. off the boat from Poland.
Haven't seen the pattern before, pretty sure it's NOT Fostoria (at least).
Any Guesses??

I would call this cranberry class !! That grape pattern was popular during most of 1900`s !! Faded out about 1960 or so !! My guess would be that this set is 1940`s or a bit later by the way the etching is done !! But let Wendy take a look !! She will likely know !! Best you can do if it isn`t marked in some way is an educated guess !!

She is excellent on glassware !!

Bump up for Wendy !!
-
Been digging for days, but the results are not conclusive >:(
-
I remember my grandparents had a set of goblets in the 50`s that had same grapevine etched design !! They were clear though !! Drop Wendy a PM and ask her to check these out next time she is on !! She would likely know the maker !! KC might know too !! I will ask her !!
-
I have had pieces in the past with that pattern. Unfortunately I did not know then so I don't know now. Another bump though. I had them in the 70s so they are a lot older than that, Incredible set. So big! Is the glass red or cranberry all the way through or is it clear or frosted clear in the etched designs? My guess is exactly what you thought. From eastern Europe, maybe Poland in the 1930s or 40s. When did she arrive?
-
So, are my eyes deceiving me? Are they "cranberry" or "ruby" (as in red)?
-
KC they look ruby to me. I have seen some before and they were red and one time yellow.
-
The search is on. Too bad Wendy isn't on...she will probably nail it right off!
Can you please post a pic of a bowl? No flash on. Right side down.
-
That last pic looks like natural sunlight so should be pretty correct !! Ruby is much darker deeper red and would show different in natural light !!
-
Soon as I get to the shop, I'll take some more pix ;D
-
The Devil's Advocate will now offer his opinion .... and that is, ........ I would not call that Cranberry glass any more than I would call Cape Cod being cranberry in color.
Cranberry is cranberry, .... it is neither a "bright" red color, nor a "dark" ruby red color.

Cogar is right I believe. It is ruby glass or cased ruby glass. I cant tell from my pictures You do not see much cranberry glass coming through from Eastern Europe back in the 20s-40s either. It was generally a American product and expensive to make. Nice berry. The watermark looks like it was destined to be in yogurt. Never mind it says Columbox not Columbo
-
Coagr is correct not Cranberry glass , I would say ruby - not cased glass different bunch of bananas :D Am working on this one but not lots of time this week! Will do my best :D Beautiful pieces!!!

We didn`t have that style but I still love it !! Not at all like what they call Ruby today !! We had those vases in Ruby and Emerald !! Same shape just different colors and like the ones I posted !! Some were given in Three Minute oatmeal if I remember right and we had the juice glasses !!
-
Yes Rauville that shade of ruby :D And I still got nothin >:(
-
Was just in Shreveport at a antique/vintage/thrift store and the very same style (minus the etching) goblet set was for sale. They couldn't id manufacturer either.
-
I am thinking they might be Indiana but haven`t had time to look yet !! Also think they are probably between 1940 and 1960 !! Don`t think they are earlier than that !!
