Can`t enlarge this pic !! Take a close up so we can get a good look at the surface !! Resize it so we can enlarge,, might need to be smaller on yours !! Don`t know what you are taking pics with !!

hopefully this will be better Mart...as for cleaning....you could try bicarbonate of soda crystals,...fill a basin with hot water, add the crystals, put in the plate, and leave for a couple of hours...

That discoloration looks to me to be underneath the unbroken glaze ....... and like maybe it was caused by extreme heat.
-
it is extreme heat thats done it....if its baked on food residue....then it,ll come off, with the soda......but..if its t,other....then...i,m afraid ...its a bin jobbie.....

Thanks Wullie, but still wasn`t enough to see if crazing was present !! I have seen this before but this one looks like it is under the glaze and doubt that it will come off !! I have had a few that it didn`t come off no matter what you used short of dynamite !!

i,m of the opinion..that if it is under the glaze....then....it would never have been allowed to leave the factory like this....as they would,nt want this to be seen....not a good advertisement of their work...not even as a second....
