(Please ignore the filth on this...I have not cleaned it since we found it lol)
In the garage while going through boxes left by the previous owners...we found this..
I have done as much research as I can & all I can find are reproductions/newer items, all identical except the writing and symbols on the back...
Any advice / information would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Well , sure looks like the tile is 100% Japanese manufacture .... the printing/overglaze ... not a clue here .
It's a small bummer that your trivet has gotten cracked along the way ... lots of these got dropped/dropped on & had the same fate as yours , cncurtis .... curious to know the size of the tile (metric or not) , too .
I'm not the ultimate authority on items of this vintage , but it looks like alot of like items that were on the U.S. market (new) in the 1970's-1980's to my old eyes .
Perhaps it would like a nice waxing , though (the iron , that is) !

Nice little hot pot trivet.
If you notice the hole in the top of the pot...it was used to hang/decorate the wall when not being used on the table top!
Agree, too bad it is cracked. But still a nostalgic piece!! Agree about the iron with fancy's pointers.

Yep !! Everyone had those, in several shapes, in the years Fancy indicated !!

tile looks like it might be a 6 in x 6in...not hard to find an old tile in good nick...take the damaged one out,and pop in another...
