i have what i believe is a rare slot car and really cant find any info on it except one or 2 sold a while ago at auction and the only price i cxan find is on worthpoint. i dont really fell like having to use a credit card for a one time use.
EDIT..its the same car
http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-revell-ferrari-squalo-555-291658147
i also have a hubley triumph TR-3 car from the 60s that i cantseen to find anything on..
any help would be great thanks

I would ask here about your Revell

An unmade but parts missing Hubley TR-3 kit recently went unsold on Ebay at $19.99
Another partly made sold for $5
Doesn't sound too valuable

If you will put your car model in the ebay search,,then when they come up look at the top and you will see sold listings and completed listings !! Click on the sold listings and you can see those that have sold and the price,, completed listings will give all,, sold and those that didn`t sell !!
-
there are none on ebay..thats why i was askin about the worth point and the revell wasnt modelcar but thanks its a premade slot car i think .. i think it was a diecast friction one or slot car possibly(?)
-
its no good saying it looks like this one or that one...if you show us a pic or two of yours we might be able to help more....a pic of the underside would be most helpful..
-
Yeah
The thing is, they had these as kits so it could have been constructed and painted in a different colour.
Is it the same model ? The Squalo was a 553, then there was the Super Squalo 555.
Four Revell slot cars, including a Ferrari, recently sold for £100. A Revell Ferrari diecast sold for £260
You have to be sure the Worthpoint description is correct -he may have been wrong ( ebayers often are ) and that you do have an identical car in another colour.
-
i was mistaqken the Revell is Silver and not red(i got it confused with a different one)
the link i posted is the exact same car, the only reAson i posted the link with that pic was for ease..since it is the same car just NIB
im pretty sure the car is the diecast one and not a kit car cause its obvious it was factory made and not like hand painted or anything like that
260$ is alot more then i would have thought if worthpoint is where you got that number
-
It wasn't on Worthpoint and it was a different model Ferrari, not a Squalo. Proper metal diecast and yours doesn't look like that.
-
here this was the easiest way to show the pic

what is it with you...you want help. but,are not prepared to help us....you persist in giving us linked or shitty pics.that are of little use to anyone....may i suggest youi sit down, take some decent pics of "your model"...then post the pic on here, instead of expecting us to open useless links....that contain, pics that, look as if a 2 year old has taken them....

Thanks, mart. Wullie , let's give him another chance. ;D Curiosity killed the cat! Or is it the cat swallows the bird? ;D ;)

Well , I'd say you've got a cool little vintage Revell slot car , chinkyman .
These were marketed at slot-car race tracks & toy stores/departments .
The brands' products were typically all pretty slow & heavy on the actual racetrack (compared to the 'normal' home-built slotcars & other 'major' brands) , and were commonly purchased by/for novices to slot car racing &/or as replacement cars for home-owned 1/24 scale racetracks .
It took only minimal skills to run , and the paint jobs were among their best features , IMO .
Cool to see a formerly run one , (presumably still does ?) !
I don't know squat what these can fetch from collectors , but like with many fads & 'collectbles' , prices can go from depressing & to surprising !
