Looks like a punch bowl base. Similar to pinwheel sawtooth or buzz saw pattern

Looks like a punch bowl base just like the others touted!

Sometimes such pieces were sold separately ....... in such cases, the base became the top and they were called "centerpiece" bowls. ;D ;D

You mean they had it and you just bought half ??? I sure would,,and search for the cups !! Not big money but worth having !!
