First time here looks like a great site.
I have recently purchased a lamp I can not find any information on thought someone here would no something about it.
It is a large lamp of a castle with family crest on it. The lamp shade is cut to look like the top of the castle. It is marked Ardalt Italy. Would someone have any information of its age or price?
Thanks a ton

This pottery/ceramic is in the "Capodimonte style" and when I've researched this before I found the info. is scarce or incomplete. Here's an example of lamps marked Ardalt.

and check the e-bay listings:

Capodimonte was a company - it's also an area of Naples Italy where beautiful porcelains are made, even to this day - sometimes I think the term Capodimonte is almost generic - and when you search for Ardalt, there's also Ardalt Lenwile porcelain made in Japan. I've never seen a link between the two. Hope this gives you a starting point. KB ;)
