Hi there. I think what you have is a tureen. You may have to upload a photo directly to the forum so everyone can see it clearly.

Just as I thought your piece is Benrose porcelain. They are often called Capodimonte but are not true Capodimonte but only Capodimonte-styled. Benrose was an importer from NY that imported Capodimonte style pieces from Italy They used dozens of quality factories to create works for them but these factories were not permitted to identify themselves on pieces. Benrose owned the design rights and the molds. Beautiful piece to the right buyer this piece smaller and sold in 2012 for $23.50  http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/d-888609/large-vintage-italian-capodimonte-soup-tureen-benrose-4022-made-in-italy.html

Sorry mart this is the one that sold for $23.50 in 2012  This one in the post will be more because of size but in this market even $150.00 is pushing it.

Wendy, I knew they were not the same. I just wanted to show that someone was willing pay $202.50 for a similar Capodimonte.

They were also carrying a 50p plate they'd just paid $20 for.
