I picked up this flask and I would love to find more information on it. It has obviously seen better days, but I'm sure if it could talk it would have some very fascinating stories to tell.

What do these characters mean?

Thanks for any and all help!!!

this has very little value...its lost most of its plate...and its got those Old English letters...which are a monogram...which makes it undesirable...value ..here in the UK...if you were licky, £10/15
-
Can you read anything on the bottom mark other than " silver plate" ??
-
I'm not really interested in the value. I didn't buy it to flip. I'm interested in the history, if available.

I cannot. There is another roll mark underneath shown in the photo, which I was hoping someone could possible identify.
Also, what do the numerals mean?
-
I really wish I could clearly see the marking on the bottom (it appears round?) but cannot tell from this picture anymore than that.
If it is possible to get a better picture OR for you to try and draw it out for us would be a great help. Also a verbal description of what you are seeing. I am not seeing a number anywhere unless it is in that figure.
As for resale, this would sale as a decorator item in our area; even with the plate loss. $25 - $35.

The last letter looks to be a T but old English script confuses me,, it is like Bigwull said a monogram so historically it would be difficult to figure out who it belonged to !! The makers mark could likely date it for you !! Just need to find it !!

The Old English script...letters are C.O.T.

This monogrammed flask could have belonged to anyone with those initials. I have even had items monogrammed with the same script so that doesn't necessarily limit it to a certain area of the country/world!
