Upload your pictures to this site so everyone can see them.

Its cast brass, ..... and its 1856, ...... but can only guess what its use was for, .... as soon as I think up something.

What is its dimensions?

There is one at auction here: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=387&lot=3210 (https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=387&lot=3210)
The site is in German and the description translates as follows:

Leipzig coin action Heidrun Jeering

Scales and weights
Mug weight sentences
Plauen i. Steward's land.

Application weight to pound 1/2 of link of the hanger ' 1/2 pound ', on the right from the hanger ' crown about P'. Completely with 8 applications, everything gepunzt.
Seldom, very well-preserved

Which doesn't make sense to me! Anyone have any ideas? There are some inserts that fit inside it, you can see them on the auction item.
