Title: How do you date a walking stick/cane? (Pics up)
Post by: Peaceman on July 28, 2013, 12:05:06 AM
I have a molded off-white resin claw (Dragon/beast claw) cane where the 1" brass tip, when unscrewed and removed unvails only woden threads, no metal whatsoever.  How old is it?

as Mart says.
...the brass eagle head, still available today, the one on the right is all wood, can still  be bought.

i don,t want to raise you expectations too much...but...as for the "resin"..one...what makes you think its resin...getting back to the one on the right..this is most likely made out of a hazel branch...collective value, is more than you paid...but not by much...unless that lion jobbie turns out to be something different..

The Eagle head alone sells for $40 shipped. So I made up my $ on just one cane which is nice.  In all I have $5-$7 into each of them so I'm not complaining... :)

As asked previously, are you sure it is resin?

Can you please post another picture of that one?
