Hello - I have a lamp - appears to be from the 1940's - 50's - I cannot find anything online after looking extensively! It is a very heavy piece with what appears to be broken marble or a green stone under resin on top with either brass or wrought iron legs and middle - very ornate and beautiful piece. I could not find any markings accept an old "Reader's Digest" round sticker on the bottom - but I don't think it has anything to do with the table. Would love to know if anyone has any idea of the origin of this lamp or if you ever saw anything like this before...thanks in advance!!

Boy that is a mixture,, isn`t it ?? Mosaic top, Romanesque columns, wood (looks like) base, !! These were made late, 40`s and 50`s,,,some different types later than that, and were intended to be used as combination end tables and lamps !! I have one on each side of my bed but in a different style !! Yours have a hint of Hollywood Regency with all the metal,, not sure but they may be lightweight brass sheet !! Gold color was very "in" at that time so many things used this type decoration to replicate that look !!

Back to the lamp, it looks like an Italian import from the 60s or 70s possibly by Fuggiti Studios. They made thousands of different designs ranging from gaudy and overly embellished to tacky figure lamps to sleek and modern. Identification is hard because few pieces were marked and their was no signature style, just the whim of the designers who must have taken long wine soaked lunch breaks.
It looks as if this lamp is missing ornamentation where that crossmember is below the socket. Maybe a ring of crystals for that extra bling factor.

Thank you for all the replys....if it wasn't so gaudy I would keep it myself...quite a unique piece for sure! I do think it might be missing something from the top...but not sure. No lamp shade was included. I actually won a storage auction unit and this was in there along with many antiques (including the KOKEN chair I have in another listing here)...it was by far the most fun I have had going through a storage locker...many unique pieces found! Thanks again!
