This appears to be a makers mark !! Are there hallmarks anywhere or purity mark ??  You didn`t give the size but looks like a tea box to me !!

Probably Turkish and like looking for a particular grain of sand on a beech. Doesn't look particularly well made or old.

If it doesn`t have any hallmarks or a purity mark then its likely only silver plate,, if that !!

not all that glitters is gold...or in this case.....silver??
