Title: Royal Vale Teacup and Saucer
Post by: capot1948 on August 10, 2013, 06:58:35 PM
I've been googling all day and looking at hundreds of photos and ebay listings but can't find this teacup and saucer with the same hallmark. Possibly someone be of assistance? The first two photos are the teacup top and bottom, 2nd two are the saucer

I noticed that, I found this site this morning http://www.figurines-sculpture.com/royal-vale-bone.html (http://www.figurines-sculpture.com/royal-vale-bone.html) I'll have to go in and ask why my mark is different. Don't know whether it's older or newer or a fake.

Thanks for the reply, will post here if/when I get the answer

Not unusual for newer china to have different marks  !! Companies updated occasionally and changed or added to marks !!

The best web site ever for help with English Staffordshire pottery  is thepotteries.org - the layout is a bit quirky but once you get used to it it's a real goldmine. Please feel free to donate too!

The link below is just on Ridgway Potteries. Your marks seem to be at the later range of those shown so I'd guess we're looking at 60's onwards.
