Title: Tea Cup Saucers
Post by: greenacres on August 11, 2013, 07:38:15 AM
These are the tea cup saucers my mother in law gave me. I love them. Some of them are very good names. I know they are only tea cup saucers, but they are beautiful.

How charming. I was thinking of what I was going to do. My mother in laws second husband's wife collected them. That's the problem,  when you live to be old, someone always dies first. She had two husbands that died. I didn't know the first. He died at 49. The second was the nicest man. She calls herself the black widow.  ;D

The ones marked Johnson Brothers look like they are deep enough for "saucering" your hot tea or coffee. Do you remember any of the older generation that followed the custom of sipping their beverage from a saucer?

Yes,, I do !!  My grandmother and granddad would not think of having a cup of coffee without a saucer like that !!
